Published my second app: EchoLink Finder
Moments ago I published my second app to the Android Market. This time it is a location-based finder app for EchoLink stations. This was a popular request from many people that liked the IRLP Finder app.
The user interface is virtually identical, so it should be easy to use. And since the EchoLink website provides all the information with a single http transaction, the search is actually quite a bit faster than for IRLP.
Just to avoid any confusion, this app will not allow you to connect to the EchoLink network or do any kind of ham radio transmitting or receiving. The goal of this app is to help you locate EchoLink nodes near your location, or anywhere in the world, and to get the node’s status information.
hi,
I’ve install this application today
it’s a beautifull Google map, but without any EchoLink information.
(I’ve try with some location in Europe and USA : set in “enter location” menu, and “search”, allways “no station found” message).

It works fine for me. Can you try expanding the search radius?
Same problem for me – get a great map but cannot set location or find anything – where to from here?
@Fletch
Sorry to hear about the problem, I just tried it on my phone and it works fine for me. I entered “sfo” as the location and it found it fine and then a search found several nodes near it. Can you try that? What device do you have and what version of Android?
